We’re all familiar with terms such as “beer belly”, “chub rub”, and “muffin top”, and the one thing they probably have in common is that people want to get rid of them as soon as they can. However,  after being successful in shedding off 10 to 20 pounds, you may get frustrated when 2 pounds of stubborn fat remains to cling to your nearly “perfect” body. For men, this portion is the abdomen or the lower thorax which gives them the apple shape, while for women, it’s the lower extremities which give them the pear shape.

According to experts, these places are the first destinations of all our extra calories every time we gain weight, and thus they are also the last places where all those fats are lost. The reason why it is quite difficult to lose the final remaining pounds is that the extra fats have already nicely settled in our bodies for a while. You can do cardio workouts, you can carefully watch out for your calorie intake, but the truth is you can only do so much. This is the time when top fat burning supplements for women are worth considering.

Certain vitamins and minerals can help your body burn more fat than it usually does. If your body lacks these nutrients, your body’s metabolism will slow down and hold on to fat. The right combination of foods will be able to get your body out of “fat storage mode” and turn it into a “fat-melting machine”.

Natural Fat Burning Supplements for women

Vitamin D

Vitamin D makes your body cells more sensitive to insulin. What this does is it helps glucose get into your body cells, thereby burning glucose for energy. When your cells are not so sensitive to insulin, the calories you eat will be more likely to “feed” your fat cells.

The lack of vitamin D may also affect your leptin levels. Leptin is a hormone that tells your brain that it is time to stop eating. A lack of leptin would mean that your body wouldn’t recognize when it’s full, and thus the tendency is for you to continue eating.

Calcium

Calcium will help you shed fat, especially when it is combined with vitamin D. According to research, fat cells store calcium, and high levels of calcium in fat cells means more fat will be released by the cell to be burned. It also aids in weight loss by binding to the fats found in your gastrointestinal tract, thus preventing it from being absorbed and released into your blood-stream.

Protein

Protein keeps your hunger in check and having it each meal ensures that your fat to muscle ratio is in good proportion. It also aids in preserving muscle mass as you lose weight. In fact, according to a study made by the University of Illinois, women who ate protein twice on a daily basis lost almost 4% more fat than women who ate it less during their meals. Not only did they lose more weight, but they also got stronger in the process.

Monounsaturated Fatty Acids (MUFAs)

MUFAs are fats that can be found in foods such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados, and olive oil. A Danish study which included 26 men and women discovered that those whose calorie intake consisted of 20% MUFAs improved calorie burning by 0.1% and fat burning by 0.04% after a 6-month period. Some foods that are high in MUFA are also known to keep your blood sugar levels at bay and reduce your appetite.

Different Types of Fat Burning Supplements

Thermogenics

From the Greek word “thermos” meaning “hot”, thermogenic literally burn away your fat. What they do is that they try to “convince” the stubborn fat cells in your body to let the fat out into the bloodstream to become an energy source when you’re working out. One ingredient that does this is Yohimbine, which works really great for women.

It also raises your body temperature internally. As a result, this internal temperature change will help in burning more calories every day. Caffeine is usually a typical ingredient in such thermogenics.

Carbohydrate Blockers

Carbohydrate blockers tweak the function of the enzymes that are responsible for digesting carbohydrates. When you take such products, the carbs you eat will not be fully digested by your body, thus the uptake and storage of such nutrients will be limited.

Taking carbohydrate blockers is recommended during your “cheat days”, as it can help you maintain your weight because carbohydrates will not be absorbed and stored.

Thyroid Regulators

Your thyroid gland can be found within your neck, just below the mouth. This gland controls how quickly your body burns energy and how sensitive it should be to particular hormones.

The thyroid gland produces hormones which regulate your body’s metabolism. Aside from that, the growth and function rate of your other body systems are also affected by its actions. This means that if your thyroid gland isn’t secreting as many hormones as it’s supposed to, your metabolism rate will decrease. Thyroid regulators are a great way to give the gland some push to get it to function properly.

Fat burning supplements for Women VS. Men

For fat-burning to be effective, both men and women should take products that are specifically designed for their bodies. Men and women have different physical make-ups and thus different levels of hormones are required for their systems to function properly. They both need fat burners that are developed scientifically to accommodate their different hormonal and physiological needs. Here are some safe fat burning supplements available for women:

1. Nobi Nutrition Premium Fat Burner for Women
2. Instant Knockout – Fat Burner
3. C4 Ultimate Shred by Cellucor
4. Hydroxycut Elite Hardcore
5. Lean-XT Non-Stimulant Fat Burner

Fat burning supplements will do what they claim they can do most of the time. Many experts would say that these supplements are safe when used in small amounts, and they can also be effective when starting a weight loss regime. Whether you have any pre-existing health conditions or you are perfectly fine, it is best to consult with a doctor before trying out any of these supplements.
